How it works

Three clear steps. You decide at each one.

Most clinics ask for one large fee up front. We've split the journey into three, so you only pay for the next stage when you get there, and never before.

Who it's for

Children, teenagers, and adults.

Dyslexia and dyscalculia don't disappear with age. Whether it's an eight-year-old finding reading hard or an adult who has wondered for years, the pathway is the same, calm, clear, and online.

Early answers at school

When a bright child is quietly struggling with reading, spelling or maths, an early assessment opens the door to school support and takes the blame away.

Accommodations that count

A clear report supports RACE exam accommodations and DARE college access, often the difference an exam year needs.

Adults

Finally, a name for it

If you've privately suspected dyslexia for years, an adult assessment brings clarity, and a report for college or the workplace.

What we assess

Dyslexia, dyscalculia, and what often sits alongside.

Dyslexia

Persistent difficulty with reading accuracy, decoding, spelling or fluency that doesn't match overall ability.

Children · Teens · Adults

Dyscalculia

Persistent difficulty with number sense, calculation, time, money and mathematical reasoning.

Children · Teens · Adults

Cognitive profile

A full cognitive assessment (WISC-V for children, WAIS-IV for adults) that puts the difficulty in context.

Ages 6+

ADHD & attention

When reading or maths difficulty may also be driven by attention or executive-function challenges.

Children · Teens · Adults

Neurodivergence

We accept referrals for autism queries and screen for broader neurodivergence as part of assessment.

Children · Teens · Adults

Support planning

Day-to-day functioning and adaptive-behaviour profiling, useful for younger children and support plans.

Every term of waiting is a term without the support a child could already have.

The honest cost of waiting

Clarity now, not in two years.

The public system is under real pressure, and the wait is long. We can't fix that, but we can give your family answers this month.

Public system (NEPS / HSE)

  • Waits of 12–24+ months
  • Key school years pass without support
  • Missed RACE and DARE deadlines

The Dyslexia Clinic

  • Consultations in about 7 days
  • Support and accommodations sooner
  • Reports ready for RACE / DARE / SEC
Making it affordable

Most families reduce the cost.

20% back via Med 1Revenue tax relief applies to most private psychological assessment costs.
Health insuranceMany VHI, Laya and Irish Life Health policies cover part of the fee.
Pay as you goThree smaller payments as you reach each stage, never one large fee up front.
Why families choose us

Faster and clearer, and only as much as you need.

Common questions

Before you book.

How quickly can I get the first consultation?
We hold consultation slots open every week. Most people are seen within 7 days, often within 3–4 working days when the diary allows.
Why split the cost into three steps?
Not everyone who books needs a full assessment. The €89 consultation lets a psychologist understand the situation before anyone commits to a bigger fee. If a full assessment isn't the right next step, we'll tell you. If it is, the remaining cost is split 40/60,€390 at assessment, €585 at report, so you only pay as you reach each stage.
Do I need a GP referral?
No, you can book directly with us. With your consent, we're glad to share the final report with your GP, school or workplace.
Is the assessment really done online?
Yes. Consultations and most assessments are delivered by secure video. For some younger children we may suggest an in-person element, we'll let you know after the initial consultation.
Will the report be accepted for DARE, RACE or SEC?
Yes. Reports meet the requirements of the State Examinations Commission (RACE), the DARE / DAWN third-level pathways, and standard workplace accommodation processes.
Does health insurance cover it?
Many Irish insurers contribute toward private psychological assessment. We provide a detailed invoice for VHI, Laya, Irish Life Health or your employer, and many clients also claim 20% back via Med 1 tax relief.
What if dyslexia isn't diagnosed?
You'll still receive a full report with findings, alternative explanations, and clear next steps. Clarity is the goal, whatever the outcome.
